RALLYE ELBA STORICO – LOCMAN ITALY TROPHY: INNOVATION AND TRADITION FOR EDITION NUMBER THIRTY-SEVEN
Scheduled for late summer, on September 26–27, the classic international and Italian historic car event organized by Aci Livorno Sport returns, featuring some logistical innovations, while maintaining the tradition of an event that embraces the entire island.
The regularity section, the “Graffiti”, is also confirmed.
Livorno, July 7, 2025 – A mix of innovation and tradition for the 37th Rallye Elba Storico – Locman Italy Trophy, the classic island event dedicated to historic vehicles, promoted by Aci Livorno Sport.
Scheduled for September 26–27, it will be the eighth round of ten in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship, and the seventh (penultimate) round of the Italian Historic Car Championship.
This year’s edition brings some logistical changes , while preserving the two-day format over a course rich in tradition.
LOGISTICAL CHANGES
The most significant change is the relocation of rally HQ to Portoferraio , again hosted – as for the modern rally – at Hotel Airone .
Capoliveri will remain the beating heart of the rally , hosting the classic city stage, the Service Park , the overnight regroup between legs , and the final podium ceremony .
Porto Azzurro will host the start ceremony as well as the administrative and technical checks , while Rio Marina will also be involved with a regroup on the seafront.
A CHANCE FOR THE ISLAND TO WORK TOGETHER
All of these elements confirm the organiser’s intention to reinforce the concept of a rally that truly belongs to the entire Elban territory – an event with sporting, social, promotional, and economic value .
This identity is increasingly supported by all local administrations, who believe that “networking” across the island is the key to growth , involving more areas and local businesses, strengthening Elba’s identity, and extending the tourist season thanks to the rally.
For years now, the rally season ends with the historic cars in autumn, just as the spring season opens with the international modern rally.
A THRILLING ROUTE
The route is confirmed: two days of competition and a total of ten special stages , covering 133.38 competitive kilometres out of 366.96 overall .
Designed with the territory’s needs in mind, Leg 1 will take place on the western side of the island , and Leg 2 on the eastern side , offering an exciting but respectful sporting challenge that blends into everyday life on Elba.
Also confirmed is the traditional “Graffiti” regularity event , a must for fans of the discipline, which has always found fertile ground on the island for development and promotion.
The first official step will be the opening of entries on August 10 .
The 2024 overall winners were Angelo Lombardo (Sicily) and Roberto Consiglio , driving a Porsche 911 RS .
